THE SPACE COAST BLUES SOCIETY!
WE'RE ON A MISSION!
In
November 2005 the Space Coast Blues Society produced
their first regional Blues challenge, a local event
designated to send one solo/duo act and one band
to compete in the International Blues Challenge
in Memphis, TN. Although we would like to send a
solo/duo act we got word from Memphis that they
are already out of space. So sad since we had so
many of our local single/duos in mind. But not all
is lost, we have reserved a band slot.
CALLING
ALL LOCAL BLUES BANDS.
If you’d like to compete for the band slot to
go to Memphis. A competition is being held at:
COCONUTS
ON THE BEACH, SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9TH, 2008 - from 6pm
till close.

The deadline for this competition is Sat. Nov. 1st,
so please act fast. For the 25th year, Blues musicians
from around the world will compete for cash , prizes
, and industry recognition as The Blues Foundation
presents this latest installment of the INTERNATIONAL
BLUES CHALLENGE 2009. The worlds largest gathering
of blues acts represents an international search
by the Blues Foundation and its affiliates for the
blues musicians who are ready to take their act
to the international stage. The clubs up and down
Beale Street will once again be filled to capacity
for the event.
